My entry for the Global Creative Awards 2023 hosted by Kao Salon Division was awarded National Gold in the New Talent Colorist of the Year category, and I was invited to compete at the international finals in Chicago. The look is inspired by floral Art Nouveau patterns from the early 20th century. I aimed to marry fashion-forward colours and shapes with traditional styles and natural themes. The natural flow of the florals and softness of the outfit combined with stronger makeup and posing created the fine balance of androgyny that is so often seen in today’s youth.
